Mike's works are published by Drop6 media. He has taught and arranged marching pit, battery and concert percussion for high school, college, and drum corps groups including the 1994 , 1995 WGI Scholastic Champion Lincoln Way High school, The Illinois State University Marching Band, Western Illinois University, Northwestern University, Slippery Rock State University and the Glassmen and Knights Drum and Bugle Corps.

Mike Coers has served as advisor and creative design consultant for the Winter Guard International 2008 World Champion Pioneer Indoor Percussion Ensemble and Director of Percussion for the 7 time BOA Grand National Champion Marian Catholic band.. . His Percussion groups have performed at the Rose Bowl, Citrus bowl and Holiday bowl events, a Presidential Inauguration,  and on A&E network and Fox Sports Channel College Football promos. Judging affiliations include the Rocky Mountian Percussion Association, the Indiana Percussion Association, Gulfcoast Percussion Association, USSBA Marching Band Association, and he has served on the WGI advisory board.
